The climate of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is tropical but is moderated by sea breezes. Temperatures typically rise from the low 70s F (about 23 °C) into the mid-80s F (about 30 °C) daily throughout the year. The territory receives roughly 120 inches (3,000 mm) of rain annually, brought mainly by the southwest monsoon, which blows from May through September, and by the tropical cyclones that follow in October and November. In the Nicobars, Great Nicobar receives considerably more rain than the other islands. The Andamans have long provided meteorological data for shipping in the Bay of Bengal; a reporting station was in operation at Port Blair as early as 1868.
Itinerary
Day 1Arrive Port Blair (Cellular Jail + witness the Light & Sound Show at Cellular Jail)
On arrival at the Port Blair airport you will be transferred to the hotel in Port Blair. Later in the afternoon proceed for visit to Cellular Jail followed by light and sound show. The Cellular Jail has a pride of place in India’s freedom struggle. Overnight at the hotel in Port Blair. (Note- 1) Cellular Jail is closed on every Monday and national Holidays. 2) Entry to Cellular jail and Museum closes by 1600hrs and light & sound show is Open every day 1800hrs. Light & Sound tickets are on 1 st come 1 st serve basis.)
Day 2Port Blair to Coral island North Bay & Ross Island
This morning you will proceed to full- day excursion to Coral Island (North Bay) to see coral reefs, exotic varieties of beautiful ornamental fish and other marine life. This is an ideal place for snorkelling as this sandy beach coupled with clear water creates a breathtaking spectacle. After North Bay, visit Ross Island, the former residential and administrative island of the British during their rule of South East Asia, was nick named the Paris of the East. This island was completely destroyed in an earthquake, now in ruins. Overnight at the hotel in Port Blair. Day 3Port Blair to Havelock Island – Kalapathar Beach
This morning you will proceed to Phoenix Bay Harbor to catch a ferry to Havelock. The Island (often just called Havelock) is one of the most beautiful and largest islands of Ritchie’s Archipelago and is a placid heaven like no other. It hosts two of the world’s most renowned beach; Radhanagar Beach. The Island also has the biggest concentration of breath-taking diving and snorkelling sites, thus acting as a paradise to marine world explorers. Visit to Kalapathar Beach, A beach with a beautiful Atmosphere With a crystal clean surface of sea water, Mesmerizing view of sandy beach, usually known as a great picnic spot for visitors. Kalapthar beach is Most famous for its Beauty of white sandy beach, and crystal clean water surface. Day 4Havelock Island / Excursion to Elephant Beach
Today you will proceed to Elephant Beach embark on the most memorable snorkelling trip, just 40 min by Boat this beach offers snorkellers calm blue shallow waters and is the perfect spot for beginner snorkellers. Overnight at the hotel in Havelock Island.(B) (This trip includes transfers & boat charges) The boats to Elephant Beach are managed by a boat association who need individual guest to fill a consent form after which boats are allotted based on rotation and sharing basis.Due to limited boats guest may have to wait until their boat is allotted and we have no control over the wait time. Please carry change of clothes, towel, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen and wear comfort clothing for this trip.
Day 5Excursion to Radhanagar beach / Havelock Island to Port Blair
Today you will proceed to Radhanagar beach rated as the best beach in Asia. Later return from Havelock Island, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Port Blair.
